The heart behind everything we do at Beloved is our dedication to the well-being of vulnerable kids. When we first learned that children leaving unstable living situations often carry their few belongings in garbage bags, we were moved to action by that tragic but solvable problem. Far too many kids connect those trash bags with their own feelings of worthlessness and rejection. I have heard many adults who spent time in foster care describe the moment by saying, "That's the day I knew I had been thrown away," or "That's when I knew I was trash."
When we replace that garbage bag with a new Beloved Bag, we replace that damaging lie with the truth that every child is unequivocally, unconditionally Beloved.
